29. Porcelain Pavers —Take 2
Reselecting our patio paver.
We rationalized our patio paver selection, only then to find a fatal flaw in our plan. The store had mis-advertised the price. This left a bad impression, so we wanted to buy our pavers from somewhere else.
Our local gravel yard carried Belgard pavers, so we went to check them out, and liked what we saw.
Former Contenders
Here are the three tiles we had considered in the past.
Satori - Sendero Mica
Source: Lowe's
80x$20 = $1,600
MSI Arterra Blue Stone
Source: SiteOne
80*$10.04 (per square foot) = $803 x 4 = $3,212
This is the stone we though was the cheapest, but it was the most expensive.
MSI Arterra Beton Antracite
Source: SiteOne
80*$33 = $2,640
New Contenders
Belgard - Quarziti 2.0
Source: Morrison’s Gravel (all colors same price)
80x$43.80 = $3,504
Update: with contractor pricing, sales tax, and delivery, the total was $3,432.
On-line vs In-person
This process is always so interesting. On-line colors look saturated, while in person colors are more muted.
The samples at this location were out in the elements, so you can see how dirt and moss impacts the paver; note the green that is visible on the lighter tiles.
Here are the side by side comparisons:
Here is a view of the whole display, the bottom two shelves are River.
Selection
We both liked the Belgard River option — delivery arrives tomorrow!
My next step is to do the install. Plan is for not this weekend, but next. So excited!
