10. Azalea Border Inception
Mix of transplants, new plants, and future propagation.
A saw a photo of a dreamy sea of color made of plants — it was the azalea festival from the Nezu Shrine in Japan.
While my azalea border only has 19 plants in it — so far — my dream is to create my own sea of color in our yard.
Heres is a closer look at the azaleas that I have already planted.

In the future, I want to fill in the azalea border with a combination of new and self-propagated azaleas. Long term, I want to expand the azalea sea into the mini-woodlands to the north (page right) of this lawn area.
The next step is to take cutting from these azaleas and set up a propagation assembly line. I am going to need hundreds of azaleas to make this dream work. I also promise to make an update post with photos of the azaleas in blossom!
