11. Tulip Tree Blooms

Spring 2023 timelapse of our saucer magnolia blooms

Spring has been cold this year, but our trees are finally blooming! Here is the progression of our Tulip Magnolia, also known as the Saucer Magnolia (magnolia x soulangeana).

The buds first appeared at the beginning of March, and we are now in full bloom about two months later.

For next steps we get to sit back and enjoy the view — before we start sweeping up all the dropped petals off of the pool cover!
