12. July Plan Update

Sketch, draft, review, repeat.

The design process is iterative. I updated the 3D Revit model based on the hand drawn sketches I drew over my summer holiday. I made a few small tweaks, mostly at the family entry based on site observations — getting a pathway to the door is tricky.

Here is the evolution of the plan from the existing condition (2022), to the April plan (20XX), and finally today (20XX v2).

Here is a look at where the addition will be compared to the current plan. We replaced the roof last year, and we are now getting around to doing the soffit replacement; soffit = the exposed underside of the roof along the perimeter of the building. l want to maximize efficiency, only adding new soffit where it will remain after the master plan is executed. This means that we will keep the existing soffit material in place at the area of the future addition.

My next step is to keep making progress on the build!
